Today was the first time ever that he had to look after a demon's property, namely Eihbol's, but Virgil went along with it anyway because he was usually the one that held the fort and prepare meals while everyone else went away to do their own thing. The dark-skinned demon was a lot more lenient that Eihbol was and didn't care what the human boy wore, but he would drag the boy right back if he made an attempt to run away. Virgil didn't know a thing about the boy other than he was Eihbol's pet and he certainly thought the boy was attractive in a cute sort of way. "What would you like to eat, boy? I'll make anything you want." Virgil said very calmly after leading Ryder to the kitchen before he started to tie back his hair with a small purple ribbon. Virgil just assumed that Ryder would want some kind of gourmet meal at least for what he had to put up with while Eihbol was around. However, this experience would determine what Virgil truly thought about the boy. If anything, he would at least be able to get an idea of the sort of things that Ryder likes as far as food is concerned.

Ryder was left on his own as he usually was when Eihbol was busy with whatever it was he did with Kayne. That was something the human knew nothing about since it wasn't like Eihbol thought he deserved to know of any such matters. Ryder was just there to serve as a pet and something for Eihbol to take his frustrations out on. Today he was left in the hands of Virgil, which was unusual, but Ryder didn't really seem to mind. After all, the more well behaved he was, the less likely he was to be killed.
He followed Virgil around like an obedient dog, sitting within vision of Virgil either sleeping or finding some way to entertain himself as he usually did. He was a little surprised when Virgil approached him and asked what he liked to eat though. Eihbol usually just fed him whatever it was he thought humans ate. Following the demon into the kitchen the blue haired boy thought for a moment. Could he even remember what kinds of things he liked?
"I think I like chicken..." He mentioned, though he wasn't really sure what kind of chicken he liked. "Anything is okay really. I don't like spicy things though." Sometimes food Eihbol gave him was spicy and he knew he didn't like that at all. NOTES | here TAG | Virgil WORDS | 238 |

EVERYONE WANTS TO FEEL SAFE IN THE DARK Virgil raised an eyebrow before he took off all his upper body armor, except for his shirt, and removed the chicken with one hand from the icebox that he had already prepped for cooking a short time before agreeing to watch over Ryder. With his other hand, he impaled the bird from the rear to the neck on a metal bar that was sitting horizontally at the top of a stand in the fireplace and then set it back in place and removed the pot from the fireplace after washing his hands with soap and hot water and set it on the kitchen table before starting a fire in the fireplace after opening the chimney shaft. Virgil then closed his icebox before he took out two potholders from the cabinet that he could use to turn the chicken to prevent it from burning. "This will take a good amount of time before it will be done." Virgil said calmly as went on to start kneading some dough that he intended to make sourdough bread out of. "Can I interest you in anything else?" Virgil asked Ryder in hopes of somehow piquing the human's interest while he continued to knead the bread thoroughly. @ryder ● 202 words ● … MADE BY VEL OF GS + WW [googlefont=PT Sans Narrow]
