"I should have seen this coming..." Ehris muttered. It was taking nearly everything he had not to draw his weapons. Though, who could really blame him if he did? He had three of Kayne's mindless sheep surrounding him, their own blades readied. He honestly shouldn't have expected any less for venturing into the Blue Mountains. Those that shared Kayne's views seemed to be quite fond of this place, and used it as a frequent hunting ground, next to the much more favoured Kanagara Boyd. Then again, Kanagara was more of a slaughtering arena than it was a hunting ground. Humans that didn't belong there found themselves at the murder grounds quite often, only to be hunted down and killed by the sadists that followed Kayne and his sick ways. [break]
"And just what are you doing in a place like this, human-lover?" [break]
Ehris sighed through the black cloth pulled over his face, still refraining from reaching for the twin blades crossed against his back. [break]
"You got plans to die with the humans that live here? 'Cause we can arrange that for you." Another said, drawing his own blade and reading himself to attack. As soon as he moved, Ehris' restraints snapped, and he drew his twin blades. Though he hated fighting his own kind, he wasn't the type to just roll over and die for his brother's interests. Even if it meant killing his own. Then again, these demons weren't his own. Not while they mindlessly followed Kayne.[break] [break]
Within minutes, two of the demons were dead on the ground, the third crouched down, holding his hand over a gash in his shoulder, and a sizeable tear in his left wing. [break]
his eyes void of emotion, Ehris approached the wounded demon, and swung the reverse end of one of his blades at his arm. A sickening crunch filled the surrounding forest, the the demon fell to the ground, screaming in agony. [break]
Ehris stepped on the demon's chest, and drove his heel into his ribs. Another crunch and he screamed in agony again. "You would do well to learn of your body's limitations before you attack me."
